KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KSNT) – KU women’s basketball stayed hot on Friday in KC.
The Jayhawks, seeded No. 7 in the Big 12 tournament, used a big second half to beat tenth-seeded BYU, 77-53. Kansas has now won nine of its last 10 games.

After leading by just two at halftime, the ‘Hawks poured it on after the break. KU outscored the Cougars by nine in the third quarter, then by 13 in the fourth as BYU scored just eight points in the final period.
Zakiyah Franklin led the way with 20 points.
KU will now play two-seed Texas on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
