NORMAN, Okla. (KSNT) – No. 6 Kansas men’s basketball traveled to No. 25 Oklahoma on Saturday for an important Big 12 road matchup.
Trailing at the break, the Jayhawks used a big second half to come out on top 67-57.
The Sooners came out shooting hot from behind the arc, leading by as much as 11 in the first half. KU was able to rally to be down just 34-29 heading into the locker room.
It didn’t take long for Bill Self’s squad to get back in it – a K.J. Adams Jr. free throw tied the game with 15 minutes to play. The Jayhawks outscored their opponent by 10 the rest of the way.
Another big game from center Hunter Dickinson – with 20 points and 16 rebounds – was enough for a 67-57 win.
Johnny Furphy added 15 points and nine rebounds, Dajuan Harris Jr. with 11 points and Kevin McCullar Jr with ten points in the win.
No. 6 Kansas is now 20-6, 8-5 in conference play. The Jayhawks get a much-needed week off before a home matchup with Texas on Saturday, Feb. 24.
