LAWRENCE (KSNT) – A major annual fundraiser for the University of Kansas has a new date set after it was rescheduled in February.
The fundraiser ‘One Day. One KU.’ was originally set to happen on Feb. 15, 2024 but was rescheduled following the news of the deadly shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Parade. The fundraiser is a 24-hour day of giving which is now set to take place on March 6.
The fundraiser has been a yearly occurrence since it was first put in place in 2018, according to the university. It has raised more than $13 million from 22,700 gifts meant to support initiatives across all five of KU’s campuses and the University of Kansas Health System.
Financial gifts can be made to a variety of KU programs such as the KU Libraries, Dole Institute of Politics, Lied Center, Kansas Public Radio, Graduate Studies, Life Span Institute and more.
