KHP troopers clock more 100+ mph drivers on Kansas highways

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Highway Patrol is reminding drivers to follow the speed limits on the road.

Troop C of the Kansas Highway Patrol posted photos showing troopers catching drivers driving well over the posted speed limits, all of them over 100 mph.


U.S. 40 bridge replacement to cause 127-mile detour

In McPherson County, KHP Lieutenant Rust clocked a driver going 112 miles per hour in a 75 mph zone.

In all of the photos the KHP posted, the speed limit was 70-75. The other speeders who were clocked showed 104, 107, and 100 miles per hour.

AAA of Kansas says the number of deadly crashes continues to climb. Nationwide, over the past 20 years, speeding has been a factor in about one-third of all fatal motor vehicle crashes.
