KDOC confirms inmate death at Hutchinson Correctional Facility

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Department of Corrections has confirmed that an inmate has died at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility.

In an email to KSN News, the department confirmed that an inmate died earlier this week. The department says the death is believed to be from natural causes.

By law, any death at a correctional facility in Kansas is investigated by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. The department did not provide any additional information.

The name and age of the inmate has not been released.
