TOPEKA (KSNT)- Kansas lawmakers are sending a big spending bill to the Governor, which includes $28 million for the 2026 World Cup in Kansas City.
The proposal, Senate Bill 28, which passed the Senate and House on Friday, earmarks money requested by FIFA World Cup Kansas City earlier this year.
It would set aside $10 million in federal ARPA funds in FY 2025 and $18 million in FY 2026. It would also require the committee to provide an economic impact report to the Legislature.
