Kansas Highway Patrol trooper pulls over driver going 107 mph

KANSAS (KSNW) — A Kansas Highway Patrol trooper pulled over a driver who was going 107 mph.

“Trooper Schaefer in Troop B stopped this driver for 32mph over the speed limit!” said the KHP. The driver was in a 75 mph speed limit zone.

Troop B is headquartered in Topeka and consists of 12 counties in northeast Kansas.

Kansas troopers ticket more 100 mph drivers

“Speeds like this decrease everyone’s safety on the roadway,” said the KHP. “It also causes increases in severity of injuries or death if you crash.”

According to the KHP, the driver was ticketed for “exceeding maximum speed limits” and will have to pay in total a $333 ticket.
