KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City will get four group-stage matches at Arrowhead Stadium in the FIFA 2026 World Cup.
The home of the Kansas City Chiefs will host four matches of group play in the world’s biggest soccer tournament. Teams will train at Sporting Kansas City’s training facility and the Kansas City Current’s training facility.
A quick graphic during Sunday’s World Cup announcement showed that matches will be on Jun. 16, Jun. 20, Jun. 25 and Jun. 27.
KC will also get two matches in the knockout stage with a match in the Round of 32 and a quarterfinal match.
The Round of 32 match will be on July 3 while the quarterfinal match will be on July 11.
Dallas will host nine matches in 2026, more than any other World Cup host city.
The first USA World Cup match will be held in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium (the home of the LA Rams and Chargers) as LA hosts two U.S. men’s national team matches while Seattle’s Lumen Field (home of the Seattle Seahawks) hosts the third match.
The opening match of the 2026 World Cup will be in Mexico City at Estadio Azteca on June 11, the official home of Mexican side Club América, as well as the Mexico national team.
This will be the third time that the Estadio Azteca hosts the opening match of the World Cup.
Canada’s first match will be held in Toronto on June 12 at BMO Field, the home field of MLS club Toronto FC and the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League.
The Canadian men’s national team will have their three group stage matches on June 12 in Toronto, June 18 in Vancouver and June 24 in Vancouver.
The World Cup Final will be in MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey – home of the New York Giants and New York Jets.
