Kansas City Chiefs sign former Cincinnati Bengals TE Irv Smith: report

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) – The Kansas City Chiefs have signed former Cincinnati Bengals tight end Irv Smith to a one-year deal, according to ESPN insider Adam Schefter.

Smith is a 6’2 25-year-old who played his first three years with Minnesota after the Vikings drafted him in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft out of Alabama. The Bengals picked him up in free agency last offseason.

He produced 18 catches for 115 yards and one touchdown in 12 games played for Cincinnati. Smith’s best year came in his second season where he caught 30 balls for 365 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games as a Viking.
