Travis Kelce teary-eyed at brother Jason Kelce’s retirement announcement

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — As expected, the Kansas City Chiefs have placed a non-exclusive franchise tag on defensive back L’Jarius Sneed.
Sneed is coming off of a career year where he allowed zero touchdowns to wide receivers during the regular season and limited some of the league’s best pass catchers.
The cornerback was a major part of one of the best defensive units in the NFL and an important piece to the Chiefs’ back-to-back Super Bowl championships.
Whether it’s in Kansas City or elsewhere, Sneed is expected to receive a nice payday on his next contract.
He has permission to speak with other teams about a possible trade. If not traded, Sneed will likely play in Kansas City next season on the tag.
If he plays on the tag this year, Sneed will make $19.8 million. If he is traded, the Chiefs could see a nice return that could include multiple assets.
This was the direction the Chiefs seemed to be headed in, especially with an immense contract for defensive tackle Chris Jones possibly on the horizon.
Now, the next question for Sneed is whether he will be in a Chiefs uniform next season.
