Kansas agencies report loss of service amid nationwide outage

TOPEKA (KSNT) – The State of Kansas is experiencing internet issues Thursday along with numerous other state agencies across the nation.

Newsnation reported on March 21 that DMV facilities in the U.S. are being impacted by a network outage. The problem is hampering efforts to issue car tags and licenses in many states.

Kansas is also being hit by the outage. The Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City said their are interruptions in its motor vehicle services on March 21.

“Please be advised that the State of Kansas has reported that their system for processing all motor vehicle transactions is currently down. This means that ALL transactions have been suspended here in Wyandotte County.”

Other government agencies are also reporting problems on social media in Lyon and Clay Counties. The outage is currently impacting the Kansas Department of Revenue and Motor Vehicle Registration Solution software.

“The State of Kansas is experiencing internet issues. This is a statewide issue and is impacting Pottawatomie County Treasurer’s. It is unknown when the issue will be repaired. Please call the Pottawatomie County Treasurer’s Office at 785-457-3681 prior to traveling to Westmoreland to conduct business.”
