K-State upsets No. 6 Iowa State to end regular season

9 March 2024

MANHATTAN (KSNT) – It’s a happy senior day for K-State men’s basketball.

The Wildcats beat Iowa State, 65-58, avenging a loss in Ames earlier this season.

The victory came thanks to a ‘get-back’ game from Cam Carter, he scored 21 after having combined for just 16 in the last two games. Arthur Kaluma led the team with 23 while David N’Guessan posted a double-double off the bench with 11 points and 16 rebounds.

The win is perhaps a satisfying one after some drama transpired between the coaches following the first meeting of the year.

K-State finishes the regular season 18-13 overall and 8-10 in Big 12 play.

The Wildcats are back in action next week in the Big 12 tournament in Kansas City.
