MANHATTAN (KSNT) – K-State men’s basketball hosted Oklahoma State Saturday evening after an upset win over No. 9 Baylor earlier in the week.

The Wildcats came back after trailing most of the game, coming away with a 70-66 victory.

A dunk from David N’Guessan gave K-state a 9-3 lead in the first half before the Cowboys started to get back in it. With ten minutes left in the first half, an Eric Dailey Jr. layup gave Oklahoma State a 17-16 lead.

The two teams went back-and-forth the remainder of the first half. An Arthur Kaluma 3-pointer cut the lead down to 35-31 in favor of the Cowboys at the break.

With ten minutes remaining, an Oklahoma State 3-pointer gave the team its largest lead of the game at 54-44. That’s where the Wildcats mounted their comeback.

A Cam Carter 3-pointer with 3:31 to play gave K-State its first lead since the first half at 61-60. The two teams traded buckets, and Carter delivered a shot-clock-beating basket to go up 68-66 with 20 seconds to play.

The K-State defense stood strong and Carter free throws put the game out of reach, as the Wildcats completed the comeback for a 70-66 victory.

Kaluma led scoring with 23 points. Carter added 15, Will McNair Jr. with 10.

The win moves K-State’s record to 14-4, 4-1 in conference play. The Wildcats travel to No. 24 Iowa State on Wednesday, Jan. 24.
