MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) – In year two under head coach Jerome Tang, K-State men’s basketball missed a bid for the NCAA tournament.

As Sunday’s Selection Show came to a close, the Wildcats never heard their name called.

Following K-State’s exit in the Big 12 tournament to Iowa State, Tang vouched for his guys in a nearly three-minute-long speech in the post-game presser. He laid out the team’s five conference wins and six wins against top-40 NET teams, to name a couple reasons.

“We have elite quad one wins, we have no bad losses,” Tang said.

Fans will have to stay tuned to find out if the Wildcats (19-14, 8-10) will play in a different postseason tournament. The NIT selection show is at 8:30 p.m. CST on ESPN2.
