K-State football lands Penn State wide receiver transfer

MANHATTAN (KSNT) – Avery Johnson will have a new target to throw to in the 2024 football season.

After quietly enrolling on campus, Penn State senior transfer Dante Cephas officially announced his commitment to K-State football on social media late Saturday.

Cephas joins the Wildcats for his sixth collegiate season. He spent four years at Kent State and most recently with the Nittany Lions, where he accumulated 22 catches for 246 yards and two touchdowns in 2023.

The 6-foot, 187-pound wide out has 2,385 yards and 14 touchdowns in his career.
