K-State drops close game at Iowa State

AMES, Iowa (KSNT) – The Wildcats toyed with a tie, but couldn’t grab the lead.

K-State falls to Iowa State, 78-67, on the road.

The No. 23 Cyclones put together an early 8-0 run that K-State had trouble catching up to. Iowa State led by as many as 14 points, and the ‘Cats went into halftime down 41-29.

K-State (14-5, 4-2 Big 12) jumped out of the half with a 9-0 run that made the lead attainable again. With about 14 and a half minutes left, Cam Carter tied the game at 47. However, the Wildcats could never grab the lead.

Arthur Kaluma led K-State with 16 points. Carter added 12. Dorian Finister led the team with six rebounds.

Next, K-State is at Houston on Saturday.
