Kansas men’s basketball lands four-seed in NCAA Tournament

K-State men’s basketball accepts NIT bid

K-State women’s basketball gets four-seed in NCAA tournament, hosting first weekend

KU women’s basketball lands eight-seed in NCAA tournament

K-Nation begins with reactions and breakdowns of each teams’ post season look ahead.

Basketball wasn’t the only sports K-Nation hit hard this week. Both baseball teams and Kansas softball were busy on the diamond.

Kansas softball picked up its first ranked Big 12 series win since 2005 with a sweep over No. 13 Baylor. Kansas baseball lost on an extra innings called-third-strike in the Border War, before dropping two of three against Cincinnati. Meanwhile, K-State beat South Dakota State then swept Missouri State at home.

Holly Kersgieter is Kansas women’s basketball’s all-time 3-pointer leader, but her story is so much more. K-Nation’s Glenn Kinley sat down with the senior guard as the two talk about her time in the crimson and blue, but also dive into deeper topics surrounding women’s sports.

K-State women’s basketball earned the right to host the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament after getting a four-seed on Selection Sunday. Manhattan Mercury’s Zach DeLoach made the drive to the K-Nation studio to talk about what the bid means for this Wildcat team.

K-Nation airs every Sunday night on KSNT after 27 News at 10. It’s a 30-minute weekly sports special revolving around K-State and KU sports. Click here for more K-Nation content.
