LAWRENCE (KSNT) – KU men’s basketball alum Jalen Wilson is trending upward in his pro career.
On Friday, multiple reports surfaced that the Brooklyn Nets are converting Wilson’s contract to a full-time NBA deal. He was previously on a two-way contract, meaning he would play in both the NBA and the G-League.
Shams Charania, an NBA Insider for The Athletic and Stadium, reports Wilson’s new deal is a three-year contract.
The promotion to a standard NBA contract comes after Wilson averaged five points per game in 14 minutes of action per game on 21 appearances. He started one game.
He spent four seasons with KU and averaged more than 20 points per game in his final year in Lawrence.
