Intersection in west Wichita impassable after fire hydrant hit

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A fire hydrant was hit on Tuesday, causing an intersection in west Wichita to be flooded and impassable.

The Wichita Police Department Patrol West Facebook page posted photos saying crews are working diligently to get the flooding at the intersection of Julia and Taft Streets fixed.

The intersection is just north of the Walmart on West Kellogg.

WPD asks you to avoid the area while crews work.
