After some early morning freezing rain and drizzle, we catch a bit of a break between rounds of precipitation. Even though most of the activity from the overnight period is done with, many untreated roadways and elevated surfaces are slick this morning, so pad in plenty of time for your morning commute.
Temperatures will rise back above freezing later today with another chance for some rain by the evening. Winds will still be breezy through the first half of the day, but should eventually relax for a bit for us. Wind chills, though, will still be in the teens and twenties through the early afternoon.
Another round of rain moves in later tonight and into Tuesday. There could be more freezing rain mixing in at times leading in to early Tuesday, so make sure you’re giving yourself plenty of extra time to get to where you need to go. Yet another chance for rain moves in Tuesday night and into Wednesday, but that one appears to be mostly rain.
During this time, our temperatures manage to remain near normal levels for this time of the year. Highs are expected to be in the mid to upper 30s, close to 40°, with overnight lows in the lower 30s. Temperatures won’t climb much higher toward next weekend, but conditions should dry out by then apart from another slight chance for rain and/or snow for Saturday morning.
