LAS VEGAS (KSNT) – The Chiefs are hoping to become the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls since 2004, when Tom Brady and the Patriots did so.
The process consists of highs and lows. Training camp, back in July and August, could be considered both.
“First day I was throwing up,” rookie wide receiver Rashee Rice told reporters on Thursday. “But I see why I was throwing up now. Everything in the front end paid off in the back end for us.”
Rice’s training camp challenges turned into success and an immediate impact in his first year. He broke the franchise record for receiving touchdowns in a season by a rookie.
Andy Reid’s training camps have become known, over the span of many years, for their difficulty. The Chiefs are hoping the summer work on the blazing-hot St. Joseph, Missouri, fields at Missouri Western State become fully worth it on Sunday.
