Garden City High School evacuated due to threat

GARDEN CITY, Kan. (KSNW) – Garden City High School has been evacuated due to a threat, according to the Garden City Police Department.

Erin Reyes, a spokesperson for the GCPD, says a threat was made to the school before 1 p.m., and that the building was evacuated as a precaution. She said students were moved to a nearby church and to the area near the football and soccer fields.

The district says there is no need to pick students up at this time.
