Firefighters respond to burning trash truck in Shawnee County

SHAWNEE COUNTY (KSNT) – Local firefighters responded to a report of a trash truck on fire in Shawnee County on Thursday.

Firefighters with Soldier Township and Silver Lake responded to reports of a trash truck burning around noon on Feb. 29 at 4530 NW 25th Street. A 27 News reporter at the scene said the firefighters dumped the load before dousing the garbage with water.

No injuries were reported in connection to this incident.
