Fiesta Topeka returns for 91st year; featuring new activities

TOPEKA (KSNT) – A celebration of Mexican culture that goes back nearly a century is back in the Capital City for more with a new feature this year.

Traditional dances, a 5K run, and even a brand new five-day car will take place at this year’s Fiesta Topeka celebration. The long-running tradition showcases the diversity and Mexican heritage in Topeka.

“It is a legacy of pride, passion, and culture where we can gather from everyone from across the state of Kansas, across the United States to come here and celebrate our heritage,” Marisol Marcelo, the Publicity Chair for Fiesta Topeka said. “There are many cultural events, and many events in general where there’s something for everyone of all ages.”

Fiesta Topeka is July 16-20. You can find information on the their social media and website. This event will raise money for Holy Family Catholic School.
