False active shooter report at Highland Park

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Topeka police said they responded to a false report of an active shooter at Highland Park High School. A large police presence was seen at the school Wednesday morning.

“The Topeka Police Department and local law enforcement responded accordingly, and cleared the school and surrounding area,” Topeka police said. “No threats to the student, staff, or school were discovered.”

Police said there were similar calls in the region.
