Eureka Clinic moving to former CareArc site

EUREKA, Kan. (KSNW) — As Eureka residents say goodbye to one health clinic, another one plans to move into the space.

Greenwood County and Greenwood County Hospital are in the process of buying the former CareArc Eureka Health Center building at 1602 N. Elm Street. The Eureka Clinic, currently across the street, would move into the CareArc Eureka Health Center building.

Eureka Clinic is the building on the left side of Elm Street in the image. The former CareArc Eureka Health Center is on the right side of the image.

Last month, CareArc announced it would close Eureka Health Center at the end of February due to financial challenges caused by a decrease in population in the area.

The goal is for Eureka Clinic to move into the new location next Monday and Tuesday, March 4-5. It will be closed those two days and re-open on Wednesday, March 6.

“This strategic acquisition marks an important step in our commitment to enhancing health care accessibility for the residents of Greenwood County and surrounding areas,” Sandra Dickerson, Greenwood County Hospital CEO, said in a news release.

Michael McClintick, DO, and Shannon Barus, APRN, from the Eureka Health Center, will join the Eureka Clinic.

Patients of McClintick and Barus who are currently receiving their care at the CareArc clinic can have their patient records transferred to the Eureka Clinic by contacting the CareArc clinic and completing a release of information.

Greenwood County Hospital says the expansion of the Eureka Clinic team reaffirms its commitment to delivering excellent care.
