East Topeka fire prompts response from local firefighters

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Fire crews are at the scene of a fire in an east Topeka neighborhood on Thursday.

The Topeka Fire Department (TFD) was called around 1 p.m. on Feb. 29 to the area of SE 13th and SE Golden Avenue regarding a large fire, according to Shawnee County Emergency Dispatch. A 27 News reporter at the scene says the fire originated in a grill situated inside a camper which has been completely destroyed.

No injuries have been reported yet in connection with this fire. More information will be provided here as it becomes available.
