UPDATE 2:57 p.m.: A 27 News reporter on the scene says the road has been reopened.
TOPEKA (KSNT) – Firefighters are on the scene of a house fire north of Topeka.
Firefighters responded to the call around 1:06 p.m. on Thursday in the 6800 block of Northwest Topeka Boulevard.
The Hoyt Fire Department confirmed they were responding to the incident.
A 27 News reporter says an ambulance and fire trucks are on scene.
The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office said it is providing traffic control in the area. Northwest Topeka Boulevard is closed from NW 66th St. to the 7000 block, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
