According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 7:15 a.m., 48-year-old Joshua Funderburk from Denver was driving a 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer west on Interstate 70, just east of County Road 10.

The KHP says the Lancer left the roadway to the south and into the median, continuing west for 500 feet before hitting a tree. The Lancer then began to roll and came to a stop in the median.

Dunderburk was pronounced dead at the scene.
