What We’re Tracking
Arctic air finally moves out
Chance for freezing rain tonight
Additional rain chances and normal temperatures
***WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY in effect from 9pm tonight through early Monday***
We warm up quite a bit for Sunday with a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day. Highs climb to the lower to middle 30s. It will be rather breezy with south wind 15-25mph by afternoon.
By late evening and tonight, there is a chance for a light glazing of ice as areas of freezing rain and freezing drizzle spread over the region after 8 or 9pm. While the amounts will be light, any exposed surface is cold enough for that to potentially create slick spots. Temperatures will rise back above freezing for Monday with another chance for some rain by evening.
Another round of rain moves in late Tuesday night into Wednesday. During that time, our temperatures manage to remain near normal levels for this time of the year. Highs are expected to be near 40° with overnight lows in the lower 30s. Temperatures won’t climb much higher toward next weekend, but conditions should dry out by then.
