PUEBLO, Colo. (KXRM) — A child’s body was found encased in concrete in a Pueblo, Colorado, storage unit in January, and police are looking for two missing children who may be connected to the case.

The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) said officers originally responded around 8:37 a.m. on Jan. 10 to a report of suspicious activity. When they arrived, they found that a person had discovered a metal container in a storage unit that was filled with hardened concrete.

The remains of a child were found inside the container by PPD Special Victims Unit detectives and Crime Scene Investigators. The victim will be identified at a later time by the Pueblo County Coroner, though PPD said the case is being investigated as a homicide.

As part of the investigation, police are attempting to locate two children, Jesus Dominguez and Yesenia Dominguez. Information indicates they have not been seen since approximately the summer of 2018, police said.
