LAS VEGAS (KSNT) – The Kansas City Chiefs will be down an All-Pro talent during the Super Bowl.
Guard Joe Thuney, who suffered a pectoral injury in the Chiefs’ divisional win against Buffalo, has officially been ruled out of Sunday’s matchup with the 49ers. Thuney sat out of Kansas City’s AFC Championship game win against the Ravens, with backup Nick Allegretti starting in his place.
Thuney was named an All-Pro in the 2023 regular season and is a two-time Pro Bowler.
The Chiefs also ruled running back Jerrick McKinnon as questionable for the Super Bowl.
Super Bowl LXIII kicks off Sunday, Feb. 11 at 5:30 p.m. CT.
