WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW)- On Saturday afternoon people gathered at Cessna Park to celebrate the life of 1-year-old Taidyn Anderson, the boy who was killed in a shooting on Feb. 19th.

A local business — Party Rockerz ICT — hosted the celebration of life to help generate donations for Taidyn’s family.

“I said ‘you know I have to help this family.’ This mother she just lost her child so I said ‘whatever we can do, we’re there to help,'” Party Rockerz ICT owner and event organizer Kayla Lawrence said.

The event had donuts for donations and they had kids characters like Spiderman, princess Belle and two dogs from ‘Paw Patrol.’

Lawrence said she just wants to help the family with hospital, funeral and relocation expenses.

“I mean it’s hard. They lost a baby. I can’t even imagine. You know we’re just going to be here for the family. We’re going to be here for anything they need,” Lawrence said.
