Topeka man crashes into pond full of sewage while fleeing from police

EMPORIA (KSNT) – A 26-year-old California man was taken to the hospital after a semi-truck he was driving rolled onto its side in Emporia.
At 1:30 p.m. on Monday, the 26-year-old was taking the southbound entrance ramp to I-35. The vehicle went off the road, hit two safety posts and a sign. The vehicle rolled onto its side in the north ditch, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) crash log.
The 26-year-old was taken to an area hospital by a KHP who was on the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the KHP crash log.
