LOGAN, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Department of Transportation says work will begin soon on bridge construction in Phillips County.

Starting March 4, the bridge over Wolf Creek, about 3.5 miles east of Logan, will be replaced. A temporary bridge will be constructed to divert traffic while the new bridge is constructed.

The detour bridge is expected to be completed in mid-April. Construction of the Wolf Creek bridge is expected to be completed by November.

Crews will also be working on the bridge about a half mile east of Logan on K-9. That work is expected to begin in June. Newton-based Bridges, Inc. is the contractor for the $3.7 million projects.
