Boil water advisory ends in Peabody

28 March 2024

MARION COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — State health officials say Peabody residents can stop boiling their water before drinking it. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment says the town’s public water supply is safe.

On Monday, the town was put under a boil water advisory after a water line broke. The break caused a loss of pressure in the system, which can create a risk of bacteria.

The KDHE says the problem has been fixed, and the water has been tested at a certified laboratory.
