Augusta schools experience multiple heater failures in cold

AUGUSTA, Kan. (KSNW) – USD 402 Augusta has canceled classes for Tuesday, Jan 16, because of multiple heater failures.

The district said the heaters are struggling to keep up due to the record-cold temperatures, and the building temperatures are low.

The district said they expect heating to be a challenge on Tuesday due to the continued cold weather.
