The hospital says the wall will provide a positive distraction for children and adults during their visit.

“Designed for both children and adults, Dimensional Innovation’s Interactive Coloring Wall employs a hygienic, multi-user, touchless gesture-tracking technology,” said Ascension Via Christi. “It allows multiple users to simultaneously engage in ‘coloring’ by simply moving their hands across the scene, transforming the black and white outlines into a vibrant display of color.”

The St. Francis pediatric unit was able to try the wall for themselves.

“This interactive wall has transformed our waiting area into a vibrant and engaging space, making our young patients’ visits more enjoyable,” says Pediatric Nursing Manager Amy Gunderson.

The wall was made possible by a donation from Spirit of the Children.
