Another round of freezing rain for parts of the area tonight could cause minor icing

22 January 2024

What We’re Tracking

Another chance for freezing rain/rain tonight

Rain likely Tuesday night/Wednesday

Near normal temperatures ahead

***WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY in effect overnight***

Lots of cloud cover as another round moves in later this evening and tonight. There could be more freezing rain mixing in at times especially during the middle of the night, so make sure you’re giving yourself plenty of extra time to get to where you need to go. As temperatures hold in the lower 30s, we anticipate this changing back over to rain.

Although clouds hang around on Tuesday, much of the day will be dry. Yet another chance for rain moves in Tuesday night and into Wednesday, but that one appears to be mostly an all-liquid rain with highs back into the upper 30s.

During this time, our temperatures manage to remain near normal levels for this time of the year. Highs are expected to be in the middle to upper 30s, close to 40°, with overnight lows in the lower 30s. Temperatures won’t climb much higher toward next weekend, but conditions should dry out by then apart from another slight chance for rain and/or snow for Saturday morning.
