19 February 2024
Enjoy a nice start to the new week. Skies will be sunny and temperatures will be pleasant. Before we warm back up to the 50s and 60s you will need to grab your coat to combat a winter chill this morning.
Dry conditions are expected today. However, there is a weak disturbance swinging through the area that could spark a few raindrops or snowflakes. Most of us will stay dry though.
We have more warmth ahead. Highs in the 60s will be common this week with 70s being possible at times too. The next front comes through late in the week. We will lose some warmth Thursday and Friday but temperatures will still be above average.
There will also be a chance for rain mainly Wednesday night into early Thursday. This chance is not looking that impressive but is still worth keeping an eye on.
Especially with an isolated severe risk just outside the area into Southeast Kansas. While a rumble of thunder cannot be ruled out the risk of seeing a strong to severe storm should stay out of the area.
The rest of the week will be dry. Go ahead and start making weekend plans, hopefully they will involve spending some time outdoors.
