Topeka police search for person of interest in deadly Reser’s Fine Foods shooting

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Police are asking for help in finding a person of interest tied to a recent deadly shooting at a Topeka food plant.

On Saturday, April 13, the Topeka Police Department (TPD) announced in a press release it is looking for Eddie Holmes, 65, of Topeka. He is a person of interest in connection to the recent deadly shooting at Reser’s Fine Foods in east Topeka.

Police were called just after 4:30 p.m. on April 11 to 3167 SE 10th Street on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found one person suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound who was later pronounced dead.

The shooting victim was later identified as 39-year-old Reginal D. Previtte of Topeka. Investigators said they thought the shooting was an isolated incident that occurred in the parking lot with no other injuries reported.
