More sunshine Wednesday, but strong northwest wind continues

2 April 2024

What We’re Tracking

Mostly clear & cold tonight

Cool, sunny and breezy Wednesday

Warming back up later in the week

Mostly clear and rather chilly tonight as temperatures dip into the lower to middle 30s for most of the area. There will be a continual northwesterly breeze at 10-15mph that will make it feel a bit cooler.

Temperatures will try to warm up a bit on Wednesday with highs back into the upper 50s to near 60°. Northwest wind at 15-25mph will finally start to die down by Wednesday evening. After this, warmer air moves back in for the latter part of the week. Temperatures climb back up into the lower to middle 70s by the start of the weekend.

Another system moves in for the tail end of the weekend with showers and storms possible late Saturday and into early Sunday. Hopefully, this system moves out for Monday’s solar eclipse, but as of right now, we may end up with some cloud cover across Northeast Kansas.
