We have not seen much moisture over the last 24 hours but skies continue to remain slightly unsettled. There have been some showers and storms nearby to our south and a few sprinkles and/or snowflakes will be possible to the north early in the day.
A shower or storm to our south could flare up again later this morning and afternoon and cross the state line into the Wichita Metro. The Kansas/Oklahoma line to the southwest will need to be monitored too. Severe weather is not expected.
Temperatures will not be as warm as Tuesday but will still be mild in the 60s under a mostly to partly cloudy sky.
A shower/storm chance to the south lingers through the evening. Another cold front starts to move in from the northwest tonight too. It will attempt to spark a shower as it moves through into Friday but moisture will be lacking.
The start to our weekend will be mainly dry and windy but this break between systems will be brief. Rain chances start to ramp again Saturday.
Saturday is not looking like a washout as showers will be spotty. You will still want to be prepared to encounter some wet weather if you have plans to be outdoors.
Severe weather is not expected Saturday but we will need to be weather aware Sunday.
Showers and storms will be more widespread Sunday as the storm system picks up steam. Colder air starts to move in from the northwest Sunday night and wintry weather will be possible in this part of the area into Monday.
Some rain and snow lingers into Monday. Tuesday will be dry before another storm system gets going the latter part of the week. After a chilly start to the week it will not take too long to warm back up.
