Hit-and-run leaves woman critically injured, dog dead in Lawrence

LAWRENCE (KSNT) – Police in Lawrence are asking for the public’s help in locating the driver of a vehicle who allegedly hospitalized a woman while she was walking her dog Monday morning.

The Lawrence Police Department posted to social media saying a driver allegedly hit a woman walking her dog around 7:50 a.m. on March 18 at the intersection of East 23rd Street and Barker Avenue. The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of critical injuries and her dog was killed in the hit-and-run incident.

The LPD say the driver of the vehicle, a grey Dodge sedan, didn’t stop. The vehicle should display front-end damage on the passenger side of the front end.
