Wichita man sentenced in connection to 2019 homicide

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A man was sentenced on Friday for his part in connection to a kidnapping and murder in 2019.

Dustyn Brown was sentenced to 38 months in prison for his role in the murder of Christian Hernandez. He was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon by a felon on Dec. 4, 2019.

Brown was one of several people connected to Hernandez’s death, whose body was found on the side of the road in Bel Aire.

Another man, Efrain Arroyo II, was sentenced to life in prison in January 2024 after a jury convicted him of first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and criminal use of a firearm by a convicted felon.
