What We’re Tracking
Strong storms possible in the evening hours
Clearing out for the end of the week
Late weekend turns a bit cooler
There may be a few strong or severe storms with this evening’s system as a warm front lifts through the area. The best chance to see the stronger storms will be dependent on the timing of that front, and as of right now, the best chance for storms may end up being in the northern half of our area, mainly along and north of I-70. The main threats with any storms will be large hail and gusty winds, but an isolated tornado can’t quite be ruled out yet. Make sure to keep checking back for updates.
Behind that system, we do get a bit cooler to end the week and start the weekend. Highs for Thursday should still reach the upper 60s, but by Friday temperatures will likely drop into the lower 60s.
Lots of sunshine throughout the weekend. After topping out in the middle to upper 60s on Saturday, another system tries to move in for the tail end of the weekend that will push through a cold front and drop temperatures even further into the middle 50s for Sunday.
