Newton home to be moved, road closures expected

NEWTON, Kan. (KSNW) — A Newton home will be moved from its current location Wednesday.

The City of Newton says the home at 1023 N. Main will be moved to a recently cleared lot at 2101 N. Main in North Newton. Drivers can expect delays on Main Street starting at 9 a.m. with 23rd St. North and Main in Newton closed as the home is delivered to its new lot.


‘Peculiar twist’ in Tuesday morning crash call in Kansas

The city of Newton says there may also be temporary power outages as powerlines are briefly disconnected as the home passes by. The homes and businesses that could be affected will be notified by Evergy.

Drivers should find alternate routes during the move.
