Fatal crash closes I-70 west of Salina

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A fatal crash early Monday closed Interstate 70 west of Salina.

Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Ben Gardner said the crash happened before midnight between U.S. Highway 81 and Lincoln-Saline County line.

Trooper Ben shared a photo of the scene showing a semi on the side of the road.

Traffic is being diverted via exit 244 (Hedville Road) south to Kansas Highway 140, west to Ellsworth. Drivers can return north on Kansas Highway 14 back to I-70.
