Garden City man seriously injured in crash Tuesday morning

STAFFORD COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — A man from Garden City was seriously injured in a crash Tuesday morning.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 10:13 a.m., a 58-year-old man from Macksville was driving a 2011 International feed truck south on Northwest 110th Avenue. He stopped at a stop sign at U.S. Highway 50 and Southwest 110th Avenue.

At the same time, a 39-year-old woman from Garden City was driving a 2017 Toyota Corolla east on U50. With her was a 40-year-old man, also from Garden City, and three juveniles.

After stopping at the stop sign, the driver of the feed truck continued south on Southwest 110th Avenue, failing to yield to traffic.

As a result, the driver of the Corolla hit the feed truck in the eastbound lane of U50.

The driver of the feed truck had no apparent injuries.


Colorado man killed in crash in western Kansas

The driver of the Corolla had suspected minor injuries. Her passenger, the 40-year-old man, had suspected serious injuries. They were both taken to an area hospital.

The KHP did not state if any of the juveniles sustained injuries.
