Dwight Yoakam coming to Hartman Arena in August

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Country music star and actor Dwight Yoakam will perform at Hartman Arena on Aug. 22.

The singer has sold over 25 million albums worldwide and has 12 gold albums and nine platinum or multiplatinum albums. He’s won Grammy Awards, American Music Association Artist of the Year, and BMI Country Music’s President’s Award. In 2019, he was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Some of his hits include “Guitars, Cadillacs,” “Honky Tonk Man,” and “I Sang Dixie.”

The Mavericks will also perform on Aug. 22. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m.

Hartman Arena, 8151 N. Harman Arena Drive, is 10 miles north of downtown Wichita.

In addition to being a singer, Yoakam has had a SiriusXM channel titled “Dwight Yoakam and The Bakersfield Beat” since 2018.

He has also appeared in over 40 feature films, including “Sling Blade” and “Panic Room.”
